WHAT PREPARATIONS MUSLIMS DO ON THIS FESTIVAL?
Muslim cleans to themselves in morning and put on beautiful dresses.They apply perfumes and then go to masjid for saying eid prayer.
After taking shower and putting on nice dresses muslim say prayer in congregation in masjid or in open field.This prayer consist upon two rakat.After saying prayer muslims go to their relatives or neighbours homes to greet them.Greeting ways are varies country to country.Usually they use the word of EID MUBARAK by using their native language.
EID DAYS
Muslim celebrates five days of eid in one year.Two days of eid ul fitr and three days of eid ul adha.Eid ul adha is also known with the name of “BIG EID OR EID OF SACRIFICE”.Muslim celebrates eid ul adha in the memorable sacrifice of HAZRAT IBRAHIM(AS).
Eid ul fitr lasts for two days.Eid ul fitr is the time when muslims says thanks to ALLAH for blessing us the month of RAMADAN to make more virtues.Our prayer is to ALLAH THAT”MAY ALLAH ACCEPT OUR SAUM AND VIRTUES PERFORMING IN THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN AND MAKE OUR EID HAPPY”.
Islam is the blessing of Allah and Allah do not forget the poor or needy people in the festivals.Ramadan is the month of muslim brothers and sisters
.Muslim spend their whole month abstaining from meal and drinking anything so that we could feel the pain how poor people suffer from hunger and muslim could feel that how poor muslim brothers and sisters having a lack of basic necessities in their life.
FITRANA
This is obligatory for muslims to pay fitrana.Fitrana becomes obligatory to pay after the sunset of the last day of saum(fasting)After seeing the new moon and before starting the EID UL FITR fitrana should be paid to poor and needy people.
